Moya Angela as Effie White
Moya Angela joins our cast from The Lion King's Gazelle and Cheetah tours (Disney). Her roles included Rafiki and Shenzi. She is a native of Indianapolis, IN where she won two Encore Awards in her roles as Sara in Ragtime and Adapearle in The Wiz. Moya made her NYC debut with Dreamgirls and thanks her parents/loving family for support.

Syesha Mercado (official website) as Deena Jones
Syesha Mercado rose to fame as the second runner-up on "American Idol's" seventh season. The rising starlet has begun recording her first album, collaborating with prominent writers and producers, including Grammy-winner Diane Warren and Evan Bogart. As a young actress, Syesha received the prestigious South Eastern Theatre Conference's "Best Supporting Actress" award. She majored in theater at Florida International University and has appeared in national commercials.

Chaz Lamar Shepherd as Curtis Taylor, Jr.
Chaz is from Philadelphia and has been gracing our television screens, co-starring in 7th Heaven, Moesha, The Parkers, The Steve Harvey Show, Sister Sister, Touched by an Angel and more. Most recently the TV audience has been watching him on The Game as Trey Wiggs. Chaz has also co-starred in Set It Off and The Temptations. Now, after co-starring on Broadway as Harpo in The Color Purple, Chaz is ready to grace the stage again as Curtis in Dreamgirls . He was on the Billboard charts three times in 2009 with his single “Chemical Reaction.” Chaz's soul/R&B album was released during the Dreamgirls tour. Chaz is excited to contribute his talents and passion with the world.

Chester Gregory (official website) as James "Thunder" Early
An award-winning actor/performer/singer/ songwriter, Chester is ecstatic about being "Jimmy" in Dreamgirls And returning to the World Famous Apollo Theater where he made his NY debut as "Jackie Wilson" in The Jackie Wilson Story (Jeff, AUDELCO, BTAA and Black Excellence Awards). Broadway: Hairspray (Seaweed), Cry-Baby (Dupree) and Tarzan (Terk). Other: Hairspray (Movie) and performing for Michael Jackson. Training: Columbia Chicago (BFA). Adrienne Warren (official website) as Lorrell Robinson
Adrienne is a recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College. New York Theatre credits include: The Wiz, Dorothy understudy for Encores! Summer Stars. Regional: Little Shop of Horrors, Cats, Big River, and the 25th anniversary of Dreamgirls starring Jennifer Holliday. She is an alumni of Ann Reinking’s Broadway Theatre Project. She recently toured as a featured vocalist with Trans Siberian Orchestra in their 2008-2009 Winter tour (special guest: Steven Tyler of Aero-smith). Trevon Davis as C.C. White
A native of Flint, Michigan and a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, Trevon was a finalist on BET's Sunday Best and appeared in MTV's Making the Band 4. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc. and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He thanks his family and friends for their continuous support and God for His many blessings.

Margaret Hoffman as Michelle Morris (u/s Deena)
Margaret recently graduated from Sam Houston State University, obtaining a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. While attending school, Margaret has performed in several theatrical and entertainment events at the premiere theatres of Houston, TX, such as The Ensemble Theatre and Theatre Under The Stars. Special thanks go out to friends, family and Jay Binder Casting.

Milton Craig Nealy as Marty Madison
Milton is happy to be a part of this new production of Dreamgirls, having been in the original Broadway and 1987 revival productions. He also created the roles of Agwe in Once on This Island and Four-Eyed Moe in Five Guys Named Moe on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include: Caroline, or Change, John in Miss Saigon (as well as the London and Australian productions), Mail and the revival of Ain’t Misbehavin’. National tours: The Full Monty (also in Australia), Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (20th anniversary tour) and Sing, Mahalia, Sing, starring Jennifer Holliday. Milton won the Best of Westword Award for his performance as Jacob in La Cage Aux Folles. Films include “The Blues Brothers.”

Tallia Brinson as Ensemble, Stepp Sister (u/s Michelle)
Tallia is thankful to be a part of this fabulous show! Yes, Fabulous! Tallia grew up in Atlanta, GA by way of Springfield, MA. She then went on to earn her BFA from the University of the Arts. Some of her credits include Xanadu (1st National), Rent National Tour (Mimi), Caroline or Change, and High School Musical (North Shore/MUNY), to name a few. "Love No Limit"

Nikki has appeared on Star Search and opened for Anthony Hamilton. She is CEO of Get Fit w/Nik, Inc., featured in Bally Total Fitness commercials and has hosted fitness segments on The Early Show, Makeover Manor and networks of BET, CNN and NBC. Nikki, a native of Richmond, VA has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a M.A. from Syracuse University.

Brittany is so excited to perform at the legendary Apollo Theater and tour with an amazing cast. After graduating from AMDA (NYC), she toured the U.S. in The Solid Gold Dance Party featuring The Village People, KC and the Sunshine Band, Peaches and Herb and many more disco favorites. Recent shows: 42nd Street (NSMT), Christmas Spectacular (Gateway), The Producers (ACCC), and Broadway Tonite. Smith worked for The Muny in the summer of 2009 and continues his career with this national tour of Dreamgirls.
