Andrew is thrilled to come back to his Papermill family for his FIFTH show! (Romeo and Bernadette, Pirates!, Happy Days, Oklahoma). A Summit High School alum and graduate of Rutgers University, Andrew is a New Jersey native and is delighted to be working 10 minutes from where he used to cause so much trouble. Since then he has performed on Broadway (King David, Les Misérables , Little Women, Sunday in the Park with George) and on national tours (Evita, Cats, Les Misérables , Little Women, Phantom). MICHAEL KOSTROFF is best known for his five seasons as the unscrupulous gang lawyer, Maury Levy, on HBO's highly acclaimed hit, The Wire, and for his current role on The Disney Channel's top-rated comedy, Sonny with a Chance. His other television credits include The Middle, Cold Case, Weeds, The Closer, Without a Trace, Brothers and Sisters, Studio 60, Boston Legal, ER, West Wing, Veronica Mars and many more. Kostroff was in the original cast of the 1st national tour of The Producers, understudying the lead role of Max Bialystock, originated by Nathan Lane—a role he's since played all over the country. With this production, he returns to the role of the comically villainous Thénardier, a role he played previously in the 3rd national tour of Les Misérables. Regional stage credits have included A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Pseudolous), Gypsy (Herbie), Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit), Ragtime (Tateh), The Odd Couple (Speed), Li'l Abner (Marryin' Sam), and Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Milt). Kostroff is the author of the popular book, Letters from Backstage, a funny, behind-the-scenes chronicle of life on the road. |
