JAMES CLOW is pleased to be The Charles P. & June Gallagher Star Performer for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He is thrilled to be back in St. Louis for his 14th Muny production! Shows include: The Music Man (Harold Hill); Oklahoma! (Curly); Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Adam); Brigadoon (Tommy Albright); Hello, Dolly! (Cornelius Hackl); Meet Me in St. Louis (John Truitt). Broadway appearances include the original casts of Assassins (Gerald Ford) and Blood Brothers (Sammy Johnstone), as well as the revivals of White Christmas (Bob Wallace), Wonderful Town (Tour Guide), Company (Bobby, standby), and She Loves Me (Georg Nowack, standby). At New York City Center’s Encores! Series, he appeared in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Aloysius). Off-Broadway, James was seen as Charlie Bentham in Marc Blitzstein’s Juno (Vineyard Theater). He has appeared in more than three dozen regional theatres, with projects ranging from the Directors Lab at Lincoln Center Theater to First You Dream: The Music of Kander and Ebb at the Signature Theatre. National tours include Peter Pan (Captain Hook—opposite Cathy Rigby), Les Misérables (Javert), Jekyll & Hyde (Utterson), Sunset Boulevard (Artie), Jesus Christ Superstar (Peter) and Into the Woods. He has also appeared on PBS’ Great Performances Series in Sondheim: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall, as well as PBS’ Live from Lincoln Center Series in Sondheim’s Passion with Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald. James holds a BFA from Syracuse University, has attended the London Academy of Dramatic Arts and studied improv with The Groundlings.

SARAH DARLING is pleased to be The William & Kerry Holekamp Star Performer for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Sarah is thrilled for the opportunity to play the role of Belle, her favorite Disney heroine, after previously playing the role in Montreal, Baltimore and Las Vegas. Sarah recently finished two years on the first national tour of Jersey Boys where she played Lorraine and lead vocalist of the Angels. Last year, she also had the opportunity to be in Frank Wildhorn’s The Civil War at Ford’s Theater in Washington D.C. Sarah also toured with Atlanta Theater of the Stars’ 50th Anniversary Tour of West Side Story as Maria, and in Deaf West’s Big River as Mary Jane. Other credits include: Ariel in Footloose, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Yum-Yum in The Hot Mikado and Marguerite in The Scarlet Pimpernel. Sarah has appeared in recurring roles on All My Children and Guiding Light and can be seen in the film The Work and the Glory.

LESLIE DENNISTON returns to The Muny after appearing last season as Mrs. Smith in Meet Me In St. Louis. Other starring roles at The Muny include Golde in Fiddler on the Roof (2008), Anna in The King and I (2006, 1999, 1994), Eliza in My Fair Lady (1996), Guenevere in Camelot (1995) and Nellie in South Pacific (1992, with Howard Keel), as well as Mrs. Smith in Meet Me In St. Louis (2004) and Gladys in The Pajama Game (2007). Last season, she opened in a new musical, Winesburg Ohio, at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Broadway credits include Bobbi/Gabbi in City of Angels (also in LA), Anne in Shenandoah, creating the role of Twyla in To Grandmother’s House We Go (with Eva Le Gallienne), as well as Agnes in Copperfield and Linda in Happy New Year, for which she received a Theatre World Award. Numerous off-Broadway appearances: Prelude and Lieberstodt (Manhattan Class Co.), No Time for Comedy (Mint Theatre). Starring regional roles: Phyllis in Stephen Sondheim’s Follies, Dr. Vivian Bearing in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit, Stevie in Edward Albee’s The Goat, Blanche in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Mame, Falsettos, Baby, Blithe Spirit and Desiree in A Little Night Music for the Goodspeed Opera House and Barrington Stage. KEN PAGE began his love affair with The Muny in 1973 as a member of the ensemble. He returned in 1994 to reprise his Broadway role in Ain’t Misbehavin’ and has returned to the Muny stage almost every summer since for shows including Les Misérables (Kevin Kline Award Nominee), Jesus Christ Superstar (Kevin Kline Award), My One and Only, Oliver!, Aida and many, many more! Since last summer, Ken has been busy with many projects— Happiness at Lincoln Center Theatre in New York, Guys and Dolls at The Hollywood Bowl and nationwide performances of his one-man show Page By Page. Ken has been a member of the orignal Broadway casts of the Tony® Award-winning musicals Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Drama Desk Award–Best Actor) and Cats. His Broadway performances include The Wiz, It Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues and the all-black revival of Guys and Dolls (Theatre World Award). Other New York shows include Anyone Can Whistle at Carnegie Hall, The Pajama Game, Call Me Madam, Out of This World as part of the New York City Center Encores! Series, The Wizard of Oz and A Christmas Carol. Ken has been seen in The Threepenny Opera, Damn Yankees, and Follies for LA’s Reprise! Series and originated the role of Father in Children of Eden in London’s West End. On the big screen, Ken can be seen in Torch Song Trilogy and Dreamgirls. His television roles are too many to count! Ken is also a veteran director—credits include Godspell locally at Fontbonne University, Nightlife at New York’s Westbeth Theatre, several productions of Ain’t Misbehavin’ and more. This fall he will revise and direct the musical Storyville at The San Diego Repertory Theatre. Ken can be heard on over 17 compilations, original cast albums and film soundtracks, including Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Ken is delighted to be back at The Muny and wishes everyone a happy summer—as always, “there’s no place like home!” He dedicates his performances to his comrade in crime and song, Bruce Adler.

NICHOLAS RODRIGUEZ is thrilled to be making his Muny debut! He can currently be seen in theaters in Sex and the City 2 and heard on the film’s soundtrack. He is best known for portraying Nick Chavez on ABC’s One Life to Live. Broadway: Tarzan (Tarzan u/s). Off- Broadway: The Toxic Avenger: The Musical (Dance/Fight Captain), Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver, Bajour (Steve). He starred opposite Val Kilmer in The Ten Commandments (Aaron) in Los Angeles and also played Moses at several performances. Tours: Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus), Evita (Che), Hair (Claude). Regional: The Light in the Piazza (Fabrizio), Oklahoma! LARA TEETER has performed, directed and choreographed for major regional theatre and opera houses nationwide. He is currently an associate professor and head of the Musical Theatre Program at the Webster Conservatory for theatre arts here in St. Louis, having previously taught for Shenandoah University, Northwestern University and California State University at Fullerton. He has appeared on the Muny stage for many years in such shows as Singin’ in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz, Little Shop of Horrors, White Christmas and most recently Hairspray. Broadway: five shows including the revival of the Rodgers and Hart classic On Your Toes for which he received a Tony® nomination and Outer Critics Circle Award. From 1999-2004, Lara served as artistic director of Light Opera Works in the Chicago area, and in 2000 made his Carnegie Hall debut, followed by his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut in 2001. Recordings include On Your Toes, Lady Be Good and the Grammy®-nominated The Wizard of Oz. He is also active as a private theatre coach here in St. Louis and works extensively with Stages St. Louis as well as COCA and will direct his second show, Oliver!, for the St. Louis Variety Children’s Theatre this coming October. He and his wife, Kristen, are the proud parents of Charlie, Elizabeth, Katherine and Maggie.

MEG GILLENTINE is thrilled to be making her Muny debut. Broadway: Cats (Cassandra), Fosse and The Frogs. First national tours: Fosse, The Producers and the Los Angeles company of The Producers starring Jason Alexander and Martin Short. Regional credits include Lola in Damn Yankees (Helen Hayes Award) and Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Helen Hayes nomination) both at Arena Stage. She played Gladys in The Pajama Game at Baltimore Center Stage and at Reprise Theatre, Lola in Damn Yankees and Tintinabula in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Film credits include The Producers, directed by Susan Stroman, and Every Little Step. She is a graduate of New York University. Her most treasured roles are mom to Cooper Jack and wife to Jay.

GAELEN GILLILAND was last seen in the Broadway production of 9 To 5 (original cast), understudying and performing the role of Judy. Previous to that, she played Mom/Courtney/Whitney in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde (original cast), understudying Paulette/Vivian/Enid and also Shen Shen in the hit Broadway show Wicked, understudying Madame Morrible. She has toured to every state in America (except Alaska) on such tours as: Seussical The Musical, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Sound of Music and Grease. ABIGAIL FRIEDMANN is excited to be playing the role of Chip. Abbey has performed in The Muny Kids Touring Company for the past three years. Previous shows with The Muny include 90 Years of Muny Magic (Chorus) and Annie (Kate). When she is not performing on stage you can find her performing on ice. She enjoys figure skating for St. Louis Synergy where she competes on a synchronized skate team. Abbey has been dancing for seven years at Gerri Stretz Professional Dance Center. She is ten years old and will be a fifth grader at Kennerly Elementary. Abbey is a part of the Strings Ensemble at Kennerly where she is taught to play the violin.
