The show follows the story of a five year relationship, told from each point of view. Jamie's story begins when he meets Cathy, and moves forwards, and Cathy's story begins right after the couple splits, and moves backwards. Their stories only meet once, in the middle, at the climax of the relationship. Each story is told through Jason Robert Brown's hauntingly beautiful music, (performed by a live piano/strings trio) with sharp, witty lyrics. |
